The Foothills Experience
Parent & Student reviews
Foothills Christian High School has exceeded my expectations and then some. I have 4 kids that I have enrolled in Foothills Christian, and the oldest of the four just recently graduated. It was over three years ago that my wife and I were excited but nervous to have our kids enrolled, due to the financial concerns of having four kids to pay for. It has been one of the best decisions we have made for our children. My kids are excited to go to school, where teachers and administrators love and challenge them in academics and their faith. My kids are passionate about learning and have a renewed desire to live out their faith due to the people at Foothills Christian High School. Also, for a small school, the athletic programs offer great opportunities. Basketball, soccer, and football have won CIF. My family is thankful and appreciative for Foothills HS!! Thank you!!

Our son has attended Foothills Christian High School for two years, and, God willing, will be attending as a Junior in September. Foothills has been an answer to our prayers. Our son has made great friends. He is making wonderful progress academically - the curriculum has been challenging and enlightening. (With the solid encouragement and support of the school staff and his teachers, he decided to take his first AP class this year. He worked hard and achieved his goal of an A grade!) He has also enjoyed the sports programs, participating in basketball, football, and baseball. His coaches are excellent role models, motivating our son to work hard and be his best as an athlete and as a man of God. The principal works tirelessly to lead our FCHS family with wisdom and grace. He has earned my son's respect and trust - and that is about as good as it gets. I highly recommend

Our family found FCHS 3 years ago. It has been the best decision! Our kids are happy there and they are growing in their Christian faith. As a family who prefers a 3 day a week program verses a traditional 5 day a week it has been great. The work load of course is spread over 5 days, but having the 2 independent work days really allows my kids a kind of a break to the monotony of school and a chance to choose how their routine looks on the independent days, which I believe helps them prepare for College life. A smaller atmosphere in terms of numbers but like a big Foothills family. We are grateful for having found a place where our kids feel they belong. Foothills Christian High School has been a true blessing.

I would absolutely recommend Foothills Christian High School to any parent with a student who is interested in building a strong moral foundation along with getting a great education. My son graduated this year and my daughter will be a sophomore this coming September and both of them have enjoyed the small family atmosphere and all the teachers and faculty. If you and your student value spiritual growth, becoming a person with values and moral character and getting a great education you will be happy with choosing Foothills Christian High School.

I have two students at Foothills Christian High School. This school strives to provide a uniquely Christian education with focus on growing compassionate individuals to serve and impact their community. It is a small school and I have found the staff to be kind and caring. So many of the teachers have been excellent role models for my children. The Fall Retreat gives the students an opportunity for growth and bonding and has been a highlight for both of my own children. They have received an excellent Christian foundation and the school is WASC Accredited. Both my son and daughter have enjoyed extracurricular activities including soccer, football, cross country, drama and tech production. They love the hybrid schedule with 3 days at school and 2 Independent Study days. If you are interested, I would encourage your to visit on Shadow Day!

We are so pleased to have been able to send our two sons to Foothills Christian High School. Having a graduating Senior this year and an incoming Senior next year, we have been through the full high school education process with this school. The best part is that the students are surrounded by loving Christians and every student learns about the Bible and God every year as part of the annual curriculum. The second best part is that the school instruction days are Tues-Thur, with independent study Monday and Friday (with the option of being able to attend Monday and/or Friday if needed). This has prepared my sons for College and the "real world" of having to be responsible, manage time, which helped them mature and form confidence and independence in their academics. With Covid-19, my students did not miss a beat when we switched to full online learning because they already had this basis for

This school is best for self-motivated students, but was absolutely the best choice for both of our kids. Our son graduated in 2017 and our daughter will graduate next year. They are both very different learners, but each were supported in their strengths and encouraged through their weaknesses. They both love that speaking about Jesus at school doesn't feel like a crime and that they were and are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God and excel in academics. Dan is a fantastic Principal and many of the school staff and teachers really love and pour into their students.

FCHS is a fantastic high school. In a world of so many grey areas, it's important to send your child to a place where, during the most impressionable years of their life, integrity is valued, they are shaped to be strong leaders, hard work is honored, they are trained to be caring individuals, and they leave more prepared to face the world and change it for the better. The academics are rigorous, the spiritual guidance is just what teenagers need, and the confidence they instill in kids is priceless. I am so so so thankful we found this little High School. It had such a profound influence on our two daughters. The staff care immensely about their students, and it shows. My kids knew they mattered, knew they were loved, and turned out to be strong young women. If you think private education is "too expensive" take a leap of faith and try out Foothills. It

Foothills Christian High School is a small school with a family feel of about 250 students. At our school there is an opportunity for every student to find his/her place. Lots of other schools have cut out funding for their art programs, but it is a priority at this school. Students have the opportunity to participate in Drama, Sound Tech, Guitar, Worship Team, Vocal Classes, ASB, Sign Language, Spanish, Ceramics, Football, Girls/Boys Basketball, Girls/Boys Soccer, Track, Cross County, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Softball and Baseball. Our Principal has an open door policy for all students and parents at any time. Not many schools have this opportunity. Teachers are also available to help at anytime. This school has a Christ centered focus on how to view our world. Our children have been blessed to be able to attend Foothills Christian High School.

I like Foothills for many reasons. The main one is going to school only 3 days a week. I think this makes me more independent and ready for the college schedule. Also the teachers are very supportive and look out for the best for you. I love going to a school where you can freely talk and worship God with people that want to do the same.
