BIBLE DEPARTMENT

Mission:
The mission of the Bible Department is to assist each student who passes through FCHS to grow in their understanding in the truth of God’s Word, the Bible. The Department, committed to the inerrancy of Scripture, has established an appropriately rigorous, Christ-centered Bible curriculum that encourages academic excellence and a strong spiritual formation. The students will be aided in developing a Christian worldview and understand the impact that this worldview has not only on a Christian’s personal life but also how it impacts the society and culture in which they live. The ultimate goal is to stimulate every young person to experience and to develop a personal walk with Jesus that will stand firm in the face of any opposition they may face as they leave FCHS.

Successful students will:
1. Develop a Christian worldview and an understanding of how Biblical principles apply to life
2. Understand and interpret the world’s philosophical and ethical teachings in light of God’s written Word
3. Be adequately equipped to defend the Christian faith with clarity, conviction, and confidence
4. Engage in the Great Commission through a culture of servant leadership, sacrifice, and spiritual growth
